Its a good game, for those wanting a bit more lore than BFME for instance. Its an MMO. I recommend trying it.

Forras,
Welcome to the Tolkien Forums.
If you liked Tolkiens books or films this is a great place to meet other fans and to discuss all types of related topics.
We would like to get to know you.
What books have you read?
Have you seen any films?
What types of discussions are you looking for?
There is a questionnaire in Utterly Miscellaneous forum called "Getting to know you". It was created by member named "The Might". It really is a great way to introduce yourself. Use as many questions as you like. It is not required but can be useful
You are welcome here.
I have only been a member since April 2008. I have been welcomed here.
I browse the different forum topics and read what has been already written. This helps me formulate new questions and topics. It might help you get involved.
Again. Welcome. Nice to meet you. Hope we get to know you better.

I have a lot of friends on an another forum who are into Lotro, but I don't want to pay to play games when there is so much FREE stuff I can do on the different Boards I belong to. You have to Buy in and pay a monthly fee. That is not for me. But as my friend Bear up there said, get to know the board and have fun.

Well, it is basically World of Warcraft with M-e characters and storylines. Of course some of the things there don't really fit into Tolkien's world, but if I ever where to play a MMORPG I would go with LotRO. At least you don't have douchy-looking overcoloured and overpimped creatures like in WoW.
