My copy  of 1972 doesn't , but I have an excerpt in a magazine from  1938 that has a house on it. __________________

Galin Fundin, Lord of Moria - Rank 5 Status: Offline Posts: 564 Date: Mar 2, 2009	Permalink   I don't have much time of late (working on some stuff), but I very quickly checked the most likely chapter here, and so far no mention of a house. If you could post the actual quote from the zine it might make things easier, as I can then pinpoint the text in the first edition for comparison. Draft text for The Hobbit has now been made public too, but as you said 'early copy' (and the zine is from 1938) I assume you mean first edition. -- Edited by Galin at 22:45, 2009-03-02 __________________
