I love my cats. Their a lot of company. They give me a warm snuggle when I'm feeling low and no one else is around. They love unconditionally. I can be gone over night and they are still glad to see me when I get back. Independent little twerps but thats half their charm. I miss my dog greatly but being single and working......a dog needs a great lot of care and I don't have the time.
All, Cats rule in my house. We have three now and struggle to keep it three. There is just no more room for more, but every Sunday, when the local cat shelter advertises the latest kitten, we discuss room for one more. This happens every Sunday. I wake up with nightmares of 52 kittens wanting to play with the yarn of my bed blanket. We need to keep just three but we have volunteered at the shelter many times.
When I do therapy, and have an especially tearful patient, my cat "Corky" crawls on this persons lap and purrs, rubbing her little feline head on this persons hands begging to be petted. She is much better than zoloft or paxil.
I love cats!

Ha !! I have four beauties myself. After my mother passed away I inherited her cat. That threw off the entire hierarchy system that my cats had sorted out for themselves. Now, the fights are on. Oh the intrigue.. lol
