Hello

I am from Ireland and have been a fan of Tolkien for almost twenty five years. I was told about this site by a member of Planet-Tolkien.com. I have had the good luck to have been to New Zealand and have seen some of the places used in the films. It was also easy to see why Peter Jackson chose this country as Middle Earth

Hello, and nice to meet you.
Wow...25 years...that is a lot...it always is good to see old and experienced members like you, unlike some like me that only found out about ME after seeing the movies.
Anyway, I hope you will enjoy the Forums.

Welcome Macangearr, glad you could join.  Ireland, I've heard good things about the place.  I always told myself when I retire I would like to go around Europe...don't think that's going to happen though.

Welcome Macangearr to Tolkien Forums! I hope you enjoy your time here and make use of as much of it as possible.

You may be interested in the new feature 'Halls of the Wise' as you are a genuine fanatic.

Yes Boromir if you ever do a tour of Europe be sure to stop by Great Britian!

Agree with Mos - I recommend trying the Halls of the Wise which Mos has kindly linked to.

By the way - hope you have a great time here and don't forget the Poll top right on a weekly basis!
