Suilaid

Hi. I just joined today and wanted to say hi. About me: I'm 22 and from the USA. At other boards I have joined, many of the people have been European (they obviously have the good sense to like Tolkien's works), so I thought I'd specify. I have read Lord of the Rings easily 10 times. The Silmarillion I have read several, and nearly all Tolkien's other works once. I'd consider myself a loremaster, but I don't know if you all would. I look forward to seeing you all around the board, and finally finding what looks like a good community to discuss the works.

Welcome,

An American giving a Sindarin greeting. Very nice. I look forward to reading your posts.

Yes, you can me TSF if you like.

I retract my statement about my level of knowledge. After reading some of the discussions, I'm floored. I know a lot, but don't have the ability to post obscure quotations with page numbers from the HoME series.

See you around.

No need to feel intimidated. Quite a few members have the ebooks, so it's a little easier for them to post those quotes. Reading through Tolkien's letters is the most tedious task, since I don't really care much about his personal life. I have a few ebooks if you need them.

Welcome to Forums The Secret Fire. Just go ahead and dive to discussions you like. About e-books, you should definetly get those if there's someone who is willing to give those to you. Welcome again and have fun.

the quote game is much easier if you have e-books I realised...but I guess I'll do it without since I still don't have the e-books

I can email you the ones I have if you need them. Alternatively I can throw them in my shared file and you can download them through Limewire.

(Not that I condone file sharing. LMAO)
