I joined this forum because I'm a big fan of Tolkien, and in January of '09 I read all of his major works (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion), and finished by February '10. Yet, I have always been a fan of fantasy, and as a young child I really enjoyed the animated Hobbit movie (even though I didn't fully understand it). Yet I never knew that tale had a sequel until the live-action LotR movies came out, which became my favorite film trilogy of all time. So therefore, I consider myself to be an "experienced" Tolkien fan. With all of that said, I look forward to discussions with fellow fans of Tolkien's legendarium, as well as discussing other high fantasy works! Sincerely, AG __________________
