Hello fellow Tolkien lovers!

I am new to Tolkien and his works but am very excited that I found this web site. I am currently reading the book of lost tales; it seemed like a good place to start! I'm just here to learn as much as possible and to have some fun.

Thanks,

Elijah

Elijah
Welcome and well met. I know you're going to dig this site. I checked-in in August of 2011 for the first time and never looked back. The topics are engaging and the members here are knowledgeable and helpful. No question is out of the question when it comes to Tolkien's works here.

Jump in anywhere and revive and old topic if it suits you, and watch the boards light-up (so to speak).

Have fun and I'll see you out there in the forums.

Again; Welcome and well met Elijah!

Elijah,
As my friend Jaidoprism7 says: "Welcome and well met ..."

I am just a member here but if I can help in anyway please just ask.

There is a lot here and you are most welcome to it all.

You will find folks interested in your input and eager to share.

A good place where many have started are in the mini-games and trivia, but if an older topic strikes you go right ahead ... we love getting new perspectives and we love re-opening threads all the time.

I got started in my love of Tolkien through "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of The Rings" trilogy. Some folks came through the movies.  Some came through other books ... the key is we all love Tolkien.

So jump right in ... whether it is about "The Cottage of Lost Play" or "Gilfanon's Tale" ... or something completely different ... go for it!

Again ~ "Welcome!"

Mae govannen Elijah. I am Arwen Legolas, a lowly moderator, who is usually the last one to find out about Newbies.
I am sorry to have not met you earlier. If I may ask something. Have you read the Silmarillion? If not, it might be wise to start with that instead of the Books of Lost Tales. The "Sil" as we lovingly call it, will give you the basis you need to understand these other books.
Again welcome to our Forum
