Bilbo Baggins Restaurant

Last night my friends and I had a great dinner at Bilbo Baggins restaurant in Alexandria, Va. Perhaps some of you had heard of it/been there. The food was really good and for the beer drinkers, well, I have never seen such an extensive list

If you're ever in the DC area, it's worth checking out smile

Here in Houston we have a Landmark Cafe. It's been in the area, if not the same location since the early 1960s according to an acquaintance. It's called " The Hobbit Cafe" if anybody ever comes to Houston, please check it out and also give mea call! I would love to have lunch with you! Just PM me and ask me for my number before you go on the trip

I don't think there are any such places in the UK. I haven't looked it up though. Maybe I'll google it...

Really, Glorfindel? I thought there was. At least there's the Bird and the Baby/Eagle and the Child in Oxford. They've got good beer and amazing fish and chips.

Not a restaurant, but rather hotels. Since I watched the movies, I'm a huge fan of New Zealand (I think their tourism branch depends on guys like me biggrin). Has anyone already been there? I'm planning to visit it in the time of the premiere of the 2nd "Hobbit"-movie. If yes, do you have any suggestions? I'm already searching for a hotel near the premiere cinema on trivago and co. but would like to know your thoughts on it. Did you do any tours around the movie locations?
